Driver Cited for Infraction after Accident Leaves Two Dead

Motor vehicle accidents are typically some of the most severe types of accidents people can be involved in. Many accidents leave people seriously injured, and in many cases auto accidents even lead to fatalities. While car accidents can happen for a lot of reasons, many times they occur because a driver makes a poor decision. In some cases, drivers choose to speed or drive recklessly. In other instances, drivers can get distracted by other things going on around them. Other times, drivers choose to get behind the wheel of a vehicle while they are intoxicated. No matter the reason, if someone is negligent or careless they could be held accountable for their actions.

An Illinois man has been cited after he was involved in a crash that left two people dead recently in Bolingbrook. According to reports, the man apparently lost control of his vehicle and later smashed into another vehicle, which was occupied by a 25-year-old woman and her two young children. The man’s car reportedly went off the road, passed through a ditch and then sailed through the air before slamming into the other vehicle. The mother and her 2-year-old son were killed as a result of the crash. Meanwhile, the third person in the vehicle is still recovering from her injuries. The deceased woman’s 4-year-old daughter survived the crash but is still in serious condition.

The cause of the auto accident has yet to be reported, but authorities did give the man in the accident a citation for improper lane usage. There were no reports as to whether or not the man had been drinking or if he was driving recklessly before the crash took place. This is obviously a horrible tragedy that could have been avoided. Although investigators have yet to determine exactly what caused the man in question to lose control of his vehicle, if he was acting negligently or recklessly in any way then he should be held responsible for his actions.
