Auto accidents can be some of the worst kinds of accidents people get involved in. In so many cases, people end up seriously hurt and often they have to live with their injuries, and the effects of those injuries, for many years or even a lifetime. Some accidents are caused by unfortunate circumstances, but unfortunately, many other accidents occur because someone makes poor decisions and acts in a reckless or negligent manner. When someone causes an accident because of this kind of behavior then he or she could have to pay compensation to the injury victim(s).
A young woman remains in serious condition as she recovers from the injuries she suffered after a man, who was allegedly driving recklessly, struck the vehicle she was sitting in. The 21-year-old woman was reportedly also seven months pregnant when the car accident occurred and her unborn did not survive the accident. According to reports, the man in question was speeding more than 100 mph when the accident occurred. He was driving in a 30 mph speed zone at the time and he allegedly ran through a red light before slamming into the victim’s vehicle, which was parked.
The woman suffered serious injuries, including a ruptured placenta and sever bleeding. Doctors were forced to perform an emergency C-section and the baby did not survive. The woman also had to receive a significant blood transfusion and she was still in the hospital at the time of this report. The man in question has been charged with one felony of aggravated reckless driving and a felony count of reckless homicide to an unborn child, among other charges.
This is obviously a terrible tragedy that should not have happened. However, because this man in question allegedly made these poor choices a young soon-to-be a mother is in serious condition and an unborn child has lost its life. No amount of money will undo the damage that has been done, but this woman deserves to be compensated for her loss and for her injuries and suffering. At the Law Offices of Michael T.
